What is the artistic flow and how to cultivate that state? Learning about cortisol levels, the vagal system, cardiac coherence and repetitiveness as a creative process, you will discover many artistic strategies to reduce your level of stress.

About the Event

This workshop will be lead by artist and educator Dr Barbara Doran and artist and art teacher Sofie Dieu.

The workshop will start with an introduction to what is a state of flow. It will be followed by a group conversation around creative repetitive strategies to give practicle tips on how to reduce levels of anxiety and stress.

Sofie Dieu will run a meditative to help visualising the vagal system and Dr Barbara Doran will guid creatives through a short meditative drawing activity.

Clues on how to share these activities with family, in the workplace, with children and with the community will be discussed in groups.

Participants will be given time to reflect in their journal and think of a way to use the shared ideas and previous two activities as part of their creative journey.
